We work to support the perpetual human search for knowledge, meaning and understanding. Awareness on Social issues facing mankind is of paramount importance to build an inclusive and developing society. We at Sathva realized that, we would have to start at the bottom of the pyramid in making people aware that they would have to be aware of various social issues (Awareness about Awareness). With such an unassailable intention we indulge in sensitizing communities and people on various social issues

A Peep into a Child’s world

Dreams going Unnoticed and thoughts not being valued are sometimes the most dreadful experience that one would want to experience. Yet many a children especially specially abled little ones go through this rough phase and we unknowingly fail to notice or choose to ignore their plea

If creativity is considered being different from the herd, then why are those little ones with abilities to express themselves differently not treated seriously?

On 6th and 7th September 2008 “Sattva” in an attempt to bring all sections of the society onto one single platform to awaken them to the dreams and potential that different children & differently abled children carry organized a two day Awareness camp at the Corporation Community hall, Chennai. It was an outlet for children to express themselves, for parents to work closely and see through the eyes of the children.

The highlight of the evening programme was the exhibition of talents of the differently abled children.

They sang, danced, played instruments, chanted Vedic hymns, recited Thirukural. The effortless ease the confidence, the perfect coordination and the innocent smile of the children amazed the audience.

We also screened a documentary which highlighted an average day in the lives of the special children.

We brought in Psychiatrist, Psychologist and occupational therapist for a panel discussion with the parents addressing their concerns and doubts on parenting. We also shared the success of the event by donating a small sum to all the participating school
